![]() The story was supposed to be Science Fiction. I had no idea what I was going to write about, but I knew somewhere there was story that would be fun to write and my deadline was fast approaching. I'm hoping it picks up.I sat staring at the blank computer screen, drawing a complete blank, talk about writers block, this was it. This premiere episode was very slow, and didn't have the same charm or flare of Season 1. Jay: Can I say none of them? I'm really watching for the Chanels only, and I'm not sure how I feel about this season yet. ![]() Everything after the opening scene was great, but the new hospital setting will take some time to gel. The opening scene to the first season was pretty iconic, but this year's was not that great. Paul: This premiere did not pack as much of a punch as the series opener. Still not sure how this season will do vs last year. I agree that Season 1 gave us more punch with two big episodes. The Season 2 premiere gave me Halloween (the movie) vibes. I liked the opening of what happened in the sorority house better than this murder mystery. Jenn: I think the Scream Queens Season 1 Premiere was better. I'm excited for this new season, but if I could have more of something, I'd ask for more of the Green Meanie. With the very reminiscent flashbacks that use the same humor in a different direction, the characters that reappeared better than ever, and all the new dynamics hold their own. Yana: As I said before, there was more to experience last year because we got a two-hour premiere. Was this premiere better or worse than the Scream Queens Season 1 Premiere? There were tons of parallels with the very first episode of the series. Jay: Probably Chanel stripping down when John Stamos was in the shower (same, girl) or when she called the werewolf girl "Chewbacca." She's a terrible person, I love it. Paul: My favorite moment was #5 going crazy when the phones were ringing in the dental office. What was your favorite moment or favorite Chanel Oberlin one-liner? Watch Scream Queens Season 2 Episode 1 Online I expect Hester to come back shortly, but I would like some explanation for what happened to Grace. Jay: I'm okay with everyone who's returned. Paul: Everyone I like showed up, so I was fine with the people we got to see. You can't have it all in the first episode. I can't wait for Denise to come back as well, she needs to have a bigger role! But, all in all, I liked the returnees. Jenn: I actually like Hester and can't wait to see her. And will Denise be back in a bigger role? Because that small appearance was not enough at all! I know he's coming back, but I need him back now! I do wish Hester wasn't coming back, she was my least favorite part last season. Was there anyone from the first season who didn't appear that you miss? Or are you OK with all of the returnees? I hate her, so she's the perfect serial killer. But I wouldn't be surprised if it was the mother, who is actually Kirstie Alley's character. Jay: I mean, there's a 90% chance it's the son of the man who died. It seems a little obvious that it's going to be linked to the baby. Paul: I liked the new killer, but I don't know if I liked the parallels to Scream Queens Season 1. Kirstie Alley's character Ingrid Hoffell may have something to do with it. I would like to think it's the baby or mom. I agree with Yana, with only one episode in, it's hard to guess. The premiere last season had two episodes back to back so we could learn more about the villain but with only one episode for the premiere this season, that aspect definitely lacked. I would love to see more of the killer though. I'm interested in the Green Meanie, and not just because of his cool name. ![]() Yana: Would it be too obvious for this to be a big baby/parent plot again? Scream Queens thrives on being obvious and that's really where my head went at first. What do you think of the new killer (the Green Meanie) and the new murder mystery? Any preliminary guesses for who it is or what their motive is?
